Handed in the application to my second major today

There were two secretaries and when I said I’m here to hand in my application to the major they acted as if I had never been there before and directed me to the application forms and instructions but knowing their ways from my previous visits I curbed them off and politely said “I’m all ready” and presented my forms all completed to them.

One gave me the “you will receive an email to your school address and a letter in your mailbox” speech and I inquired as to when I would expect to hear back from them. She told me that given the hectic nature of this week she couldn’t say so I expressed urgency that I needed it approved before the end of the month (all this because when I went last semester I was told that until I had completed more economics courses they wouldn’t accept me let alone humor my idea of having my application on hold until grades came in). So the secretary hastily scrawled a note on a post-it note and stuck it to my application before handing me the contact information she handed me a dozen times before. I said thank you and made my way out and that was that.

So help me though if UB messes this up as well I will be livid because it’s not for a lack of effort on my part and it’s not like this was a major I started with and didn’t get around to applying to until last minute as the forms state and my advisors told me that I had to complete one major before applying to the other and well I didn’t have it all done until after spring of last year. Waa waa on my part but if I don’t hear anything by friday I’ll go to one of the heads of the department during their office hours and  confront them about it.

I’m going to be so anxious about this until it is straightened out because from the last time I went to their office they said all it takes is looking through your report to see if you have taken the courses needed etc and she said I needed one more (I’ve taken and passed 5 more since then and am taking 4 more now).
